▷ First Impressions ▶ VISUAL: Taion is a dark-skinned boy in his late teens with dark fluffy curls and orange-brown eyes. He's above average height (somewhere around six feet) and usually dresses with almost all of his skin below the neck covered. He wears roughly-almond-shaped glasses with thick dark frames. His build isn't particularly either thick or thin; while he's fairly muscular underneath his clothes, it's not bulky muscle, so he usually just looks to be of average build. Generally, Taion carries himself straight-backed when standing, often with folded arms when relaxed. He's fairly expressive with his hands, often gesturing around his face and glasses, but his stance and whole-body language don't change overmuch unless he's strongly emotional. He generally looks at people when they're speaking, though he may not do so when speaking to them in turn. When sitting, his posture loosens up, and he's more likely to express himself full-body than when standing. Under his clothes, there's a bright blue, triangular crystal embedded in his chest over his sternum. ▶ AURAL: Unfortunately I am absolutely GARBAGE at describing voices. Almost everyone in Xenoblade has a UK accent of some variety, and Taion is no exception. His speaking voice is generally soft; even when he's angry, he rarely reaches a point that can be called yelling. here is a cutscene compilation of chapter 3; good timestamps for his voice are 0:00 through the first minute or so (angry/disbelieving), 28:50 (for more somber/reflective), and 48:35 (tactician mode AND anxiety mode). In Ouroboros form, it's still identifably his voice, but somewhat distorted, and with Eunie's as an underlayer to the keen ear. ▶ DEMEANOUR: reserved. watchful. cautious. sitting at the back watching the conversation. analytical. a touch suspicious. think before you act. act before you talk yourself out of it. a worrier. the arrogance of being the smartest guy in the room; the insecurity of not being smart enough. a few sharp edges, a few more sharp words. a mite petty. particular. quick to imagine the worst. easily flustered. one of today's lucky ten thousand. supporter. surveyor. a quiet moment around the fire. the exact time it takes to brew the perfect cup of tea. the bright, clear line from a to b, from motive to means. the tactician.

▷ IC Permissions ▶ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: You can, but expected sputtering confusion for the most part because Taion is an awkward boy. ▶ FLIRTING: Taion has no idea what flirting is. No back up I mean that literally. The word 'flirting' is not in his vocabulary. He doesn't have a concept of it. So you're welcome to try if you're okay with it going over his head and/or him giving you the most confused expression known to Queens or man. ▶ RELATIONSHIPS: Sure, but unless you're a castmate, you're 1) going to have a slow road 2) going to have to be prepared to deal with the fumbling of someone who has literally no context for relationships beyond "that's how babies are made." ▶ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Minor scuffles and injuries are whatever, but if you want to do a big fight let's talk first! ▶ PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: Taion has no particular defenses against or ability to detect psychic powers, so have fun! He is however very smart so if you react more to his thoughts than his words, he's likely to catch on pretty quickly. Notable features: His memories start at around "age ten" physically/he only has around eight years of memories, but there are 'buried'/past life style memories deeper under that (a lot of them). Also he has experience in memory sharing and "two pilots one body" situations. ▶ MAGICAL INFORMATION: Exactly how magic works in this setting is Unclear beyond it involving 'ether' which can be manipulated. Taion is capable of channelling it and Agnians are noted to be more capable with it than Kevesi on the whole, so that's probably something someone suitably in tune would notice. Similarly, the core crystal in his chest would be distinctive to magical senses as a sort of power core integrated with his body. He also has some kind of connection with Eunie given that they're Ouroboros partners, and being Ouroboros puts you like... slightly outside the normal rules of physics, I guess. It's Not Explained Well. ▶ MEDICAL INFORMATION: This Teenager Has Seen A Large Number Of Battles But That Aside He's Mostly Healthy. Wears glasses. Underneath the glasses, seeming embedded in his left eye from birth??? (explain, Xenoblade) is an apparent high-magitech device called an Iris. The Iris is a combination communication device, visual overlay, and hamerspace link. There is also a core crystal embedded in his chest that is Just Unexplained. ▶ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Being in jail - the smaller the cell the worse - and similar imprisonment. Swim-or-die circumstances, being pushed into running water, and otherwise being forced to swim against his will. ▶ WARNINGS FOR YOU/YOUR CHARACTERS:Taion is a child soldier from a world of child soldiers where the maximum age is around 20. Until only a couple months ago he knew nothing (genuinely) except a culture of fighting for your life and the lives of your friends. Specific mention to his mentor practically pushing him into a river so that he would live when she stayed behind and also all of late Chapter 5 (if you know you know). Also, not related to the above, but he can be very petty and needling.

▷ OOC Permissions ▶ BACKTAGGING: I generally stop tagging slow threads at about the two month point; I have no objection to continuing to tag, it's just that it's sometimes harder for me to rewind the headspace, so to speak. ▶ THREADHOPPING: Go wild. ▶ FOURTHWALLING: I don't have anything against it, but please ask first! ▶ SPOILERS: I generally don't care about being spoiled, except for 2-3 canons I care really intensely about. In the off circumstance you play from such a canon, I'll let you know! ▶ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Player is transmasc and triggered by anything more detailed than a general mention of pregnancy. Parasitic worms are also a nope, as is any kind of visual gore (described is usually fine unless super explicit about organs). Non-consensual haircutting, including jokes about such. Drug addiction/use is iffy and contextual. ▶ ANYTHING ELSE? You are 100% cleared to use different colors and fonts around me, but please don't make text super small!
